AXI launches OCR data migration pipeline
A new optical character recognition pipeline imports, processes, and cleans up decades of legacy contract records — making AXI onboarding straightforward for clients with deep historical archives.
AXI has launched a new optical character recognition (OCR) data migration pipeline. The pipeline seamlessly imports, processes, and cleans up decades of legacy contract records — including scanned PDFs, paper attachments, and older spreadsheet exports — and consolidates them into a single carefully formatted record set.
Clients are now able to migrate their full legacy archive into AXI as part of onboarding, rather than starting from scratch.
A de facto audit and data validation, included
The OCR pipeline pairs automated extraction with a human review layer to validate vendor identity, certification status, and contract amounts. In practice, the process serves as a de facto audit and data validation pass over the client's historical records — surfacing inconsistencies that can then be corrected before the records are loaded.
Once loaded, the historical data unlocks powerful new insights and reporting capabilities. Clients can benchmark current performance against decades of prior contracting, identify long-standing certified partners, and report historical impact alongside present-day utilization. Data modernization is included for all enterprise clients as part of onboarding.
