Background

AXI helps large institutions work with small, diverse businesses.

AXI is an employee owned company formed in 2016 to help State University of New York (SUNY) campus organizations meet their 30% MWBE and 6% SDVOB goals across New York State. Very quickly, the team found that using the public resources to run searches, do GFE, and submit reports manually took up far more time than it should.

So AXI worked with its clients and the regulators to design and build compliance tools — to search for certified firms, set goals, run outreach, file utilization and workforce plans, and generate a wide range of performance and impact reports. Others found it helpful, and AXI now supports multiple public authorities, hospitals, universities, and construction companies — archiving and reporting higher utilization with more diverse businesses, more effectively.

Today AXI is the next generation in supplier diversity compliance — a holistic, end‑to‑end workspace that replaces the antiquated portals with one modern system for goal setting, outreach, utilization, waivers, and reporting. State authorities, public universities, municipalities, and the contractors who work with them run their programs on AXI from first scope search to final close out report.

How AXI operates

A dedicated team, a holistic platform, and a custom solution always tailored for you.

Fixed‑cost, no overages

AXI operates on a fixed‑cost basis. There are no hourly bills, no scope inflation, no surprise overages — only a transparent annual fee for the program in scope.

Same‑day turnaround

Nearly every project task is turned around the same business day — including searches, GFE outreach setup, and report regeneration after data revisions.

Defensible by default

Every search, message, response, and report is archived on the project. AXI's audit trail withstands the strictest scrutiny — including state authority audits and Board reviews.

A direct line, around the clock

High‑touch by design. Every customer gets a dedicated AXI compliance lead — on the phone, on email, and on the project — 24/7. You are not a ticket in a queue.

Public‑sector ready

SOC 2 Type II, SSO, RBAC, FOIL‑aware retention, and a documented record of every interaction — engineered for the standards public agencies actually live with.

Long‑term partnerships

AXI values long‑term client relationships measured in years, not months. The retention track record speaks for itself: 90% of clients who joined AXI in the past five years are still using the system.
